watch for what arises when everything is falling

Dear Reader,

My heart is with our brothers and sisters who are affected by the storms in the south of the US, and those who are preparing for yet another wave.

I can’t imagine what it must be like.

And yet I’m also feeling struck and deeply inspired by the stories of courage, kindness, connection and mutual support that I keep hearing. The folks in Washington have Important Things to do and say, most certainly, but to me the real work of making a world that works for everyone is most often what happens without any headlines. I am so grateful for those who are showing up in all the ways that are most needed, large and small.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if this generosity and kindness becomes the norm, and sticks around long after the cleanup and rebuilding and healing are a memory?

Let's make a place in our daily lives for such a thing, shall we?

Currently, with the hope to help raise spirits, I’ll be offering three live streams this month, all on Fridays. I hope you can come.
